Island Peak, Nepal
Well it wasn't to be. We reached Crampon Point in good style at 5800m but decided that with 115km/h winds forecast and crevasses to bridge and a new fixed line to install it was better to play safe. Good day out. We will post a full trip gallery soon.

Island Peak Base Camp, Nepal
Island Peak BC 5050m. All set for attempt for the first summit of 2016 but mindful of strong winds and no fixed lines in place as well as large crevasses at this time of season.

Chukhung, Nepal
Arrived Chukhung at 4700m. We've decided to give Island Peak a go, at least to see how far we get. More in a few days. #islandpeak

Pangboche, Nepal
Safely in Pangboche at 3940m. The weather forecasts are showing storm force winds over our climbing period so we may well need to change our plans. #islandpeak
